Imports of primary billet in the country, according to experts, increased 2.1-fold, to 539 tons. However, Russian imports of wire dropped by 33.2%, amounting to 161 tons. Deliveries of seamless and electric-welded pipes also decreased respectively by 35.9% and 72% to 747 tons and 1,021 thousand. tonnes.
Recall that in late September, the Russian government established the anti-dumping duties on imports of steel pipes from corrosion for a period of three years. The effect of the special duty does not apply to the import of pipes of stainless steel originating in Belarus, as well as from developing countries, enjoying national system of preferences of the Russian Federation, with the exception of Brazil and China (including Taiwan and the special administrative regions of China: Hong Kong and Macau).
