MN19 alloy (cupronickel)
Designation
Description
Alloy MN19 is used: for the manufacture of semi-finished products (strips, sheets, rods and tubes); as planirovochnye material for medical instruments; fine mechanics parts; parts of vacuum devices.
Standards
Chemical composition
Cu is the basis.
According to GOST 492-2006, the total mass fraction of impurities is ≤ 1.50%. In the alloy, the mass fraction of cobalt ≤ 0.50% is allowed due to the mass fraction of Ni + Co, which is not taken into account in the total amount of impurities. The mass fraction of cobalt exceeding 0.50% is taken into account in the total amount of impurities. In the alloy, in agreement with the consumer, it is possible to determine the mass fraction of tin. In the alloy, the mass fraction of lead is allowed to be ≤ 0.050%. In agreement with the consumer, the mass fraction of phosphorus is allowed to be ≤ 0.020%. In the MH19 nickel, which is used for making coins, an increase in the content of the manganese or iron mass fraction is possible, more than indicated in the table, but the sum of them should not exceed 1.30%. The following impurity content is established in MN19, used for the production of special-purpose tapes: Mn ≤ 0.010%, Mg ≤ 0.010%, Si≤ 0.15%, Fe≤ 0.30%, total impurities ≤ 0.60%.
According to TU 11-84, Hе0.021.153 The chemical composition is given for an alloy of the grade MN19-VP (Melchior). The total amount of all impurities in the alloy is not more than 0.20%.
