Relevance
Large diameter stainless steel pipe has high strength and anti-corrosion characteristics. It is an indispensable element of gas and oil industry. Such pipes are used for industrial tanks, organization of main pipelines, etc. Large-diameter pipes are strategic products for our country, the key factor for providing independence of domestic enterprises from the world market conditions for metal processing.
Production
Sheet metal is supplied to the preparatory workshop, where it is cutted and plasma cut, after that it is delivered to the receiving table of bending machine and further rolled into shells. Finished shells are longitudinally welded with semiautomatic welding machines under inert gas or automatic welding under flux. Obtained large-diameter tubular billets are inspected for geometric parameters, quality of welds and calibrated. Assembly then takes place. The shells are docked lengthwise from several pieces and welded with circular seams on the assembly stand. Finished pipes undergo final inspection for quality of welded joints and geometric dimensions, after which quality certificate is issued.
Application
Large diameter pipes, metal cones and bends are widely used by modern industry for trunk pipelines, industrial vessels, trunk pipeline casings, bridge supports. Large-diameter longitudinal welded pipes (720 — 900 mm and more) are in steady demand from oil refineries, machine-building enterprises, ore-dressing and bridge-building plants. They also find their place in sewage and drainage systems, at the junctions of heating systems.
