Technological properties
Steel of austenitic class 08Cr18Ni10, heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant. Forging temperature: beginning +1220°C, end +880°C. Parts up to 30 cm thick are cooled in the air in stacks. Welding method: RDS, АДС under flux and gas shielding, АDS, КТС and ESH. Final heat treatment is desirable. By its corrosion and heat resistance this steel is an analogue of 12X18N10T grade.
Usage
Serves for the manufacture of muffles and parts of furnace fixtures, pipes, nozzles, retorts, exhaust manifolds, spark plug electrodes, welded chemical equipment and large industrial containers for alkaline solutions and acids: nitric, phosphoric, acetic and their salts. Used very widely — from household goods to heat exchangers of nuclear boilers with water coolant.
Shape of delivery
Sheet, strip, round, wire, tubes. Sections, including shaped sections, are produced in accordance with the following GOSTs: 5949−75; 2590−88; 2591−88 and 2879−88. Tape — according to GOST 4986−79. Thick plate — GOST 7350−77. Thin plate — GOST 5582−75. Strip — GOST 4405−75 and 103−76. Forgings and forged blanks — GOST 1133−71 and 25 054−81. Tubes — GOST 9941−81 and 9940−81. Wire — GOST 18 143−72. Grinding and silver rod — GOST 14 955−77 and 18 907−73. Calibrated rod — GOST 7417−75; 8559−75 and GOST 8560−78.
