Production
Stainless ground sheet is treated with 4N wet sanding to a satin satin finish with a fine grit sanding belt. Thanks to the cooling oil, it is possible to apply high pressure when sanding until an even and well-defined coating is formed. Sheets produced by this process are easy and long-lasting to maintain. They are used in appliances and outdoors. For stainless ground sheet, the roughness parameter Ra, which is measured across the section, is 0.2−0.35 μm. According to the American ASTM standard, there are two grades of finish: #3 and #4. Coating No. 4 is even externally less rough and cleaner. Thickness of ground sheets is 0,5−3 mm (rarely 4 mm), steel grades 304 AISI and 430 AISI are used. Sheet cutting is 1000x2000, 1500x3000 and 1250x2500.
