Hot-rolled stainless steel sheet
Stainless steel sheets - a special type of rolled corrosion-resistant steel. According to the method of manufacture are divided into cold-rolled and hot-rolled, which can be heat-treated or without heat treatment. Most often, hot-rolled stainless steel sheet is used for subsequent processing by cold treatment, but often serves as an independent billet. Such sheets are suitable for stamping critical parts, fragments for welding of containers, pipeline fittings.
Advantages of
Hot-rolled sheets have sufficiently high indicators of strength, wear resistance, heat resistance and resistance to corrosion damage. Such materials can be supplied both after heat treatment and without it. Dimensions are presented according to thickness, width, surface quality, which facilitates the choice in each case. Marking sheets are made as domestic standards, such as 10X17H13M2, and the foreign version (AISI 316,310, 316L,

Production
Hot-rolled plate undergoes several processing stages in the production process. First of all, the billet is delivered to a slabbing mill (a powerful cogging mill), where the ingot is cogged after heating to a plate of a certain size. The slab is formed by means of horizontal and vertical rolls, the gap between which is controlled. Some modern factories have equipment that makes it possible to shape finished slabs immediately, bypassing casting of steel into ingots. Then the finished semi-finished product is sent to the sheet rolling section of the mill. There, in the process of multiple passes through the rolls with appropriate clearances, the finished product - a sheet of the required size - is rolled. The entire procedure is continuous and, depending on the mill's capacity, can produce several million tons of finished product annually. The subsequent heat treatment improves the initial working characteristics of the steel, its machinability.
Use of
Stainless steel, thanks to its high mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and durability, works well even in harsh temperature conditions and contact with aggressive media. Features of a particular stainless steel alloy predetermine its use in a particular area of industry. For example, wear resistance and hardness are valued in the production of cutting tools, and resistance to corrosion destruction is indispensable for chemical equipment. Hot-rolled sheets are supplied to the modern market as semi-finished products of different assortment and blanks of various parts. The use of new technologies in the production process significantly expands the scope of sheets, and determines the growth in popularity of stainless steel in the future.
Buy at the best price.
The price for hot-rolled stainless steel sheet varies in a wide enough range and depends on its size and steel grade. Evek GmbH stocks a wide range of steel sheets of the highest quality. Stainless steel sheet can be supplied in coils (up to 4 mm sheet thickness) or sheets. Ground and polished sheets are supplied in a protective film. Product, which shows signs of burnishing, can also be used in industrial production or it can be used as a cold-rolled billet. The technical documentation includes data on the chemical composition and properties of steel, the limiting percentage of impurities; the mechanical properties of the products. Additionally we offer sheet cutting, packing, waterjet welding, bending and rolling, powder coating and punching services. Implementation of orders - in the shortest possible time.
