TU 14-3R-197-2001 regulates the production of seamless pipes made of corrosion-resistant steel grades with improved surface quality operating at temperatures from -70 to 900 °C, subject to Rostekhnadzor.

Chromium increases hardness and corrosion resistance. Nickel gives the alloy ductility. Vanadium increases strength, impact and abrasion resistance. Molybdenum resists oxidation at high temperature. Manganese content above 1% increases hardness, impact strength, wear resistance. Titanium increases stability, corrosion resistance.
