Technology of welding with semiautomatic welding machines

Hose-type semiautomatic welding machines allow you to increase the productivity of welding work, and are used for large amounts of copper products welding. To ensure process stability and to prevent possible oxidation of the seam area by air oxygen, the process is carried out under a layer of flux. Supplier Evek GmbH offers to buy welded copper of domestic and foreign production at an affordable price in a wide range. We provide delivery of products to any point on the continent. Price is optimal.

Flux

As fluxes are used substances of three groups - with a high content of silicon and manganese compounds, with a reduced content of silicon and the presence of manganese, as well as fluxes manganese-free group. In addition to fused fluxes used for welding with direct current, ceramic fluxes are also used, the advantage of which is the possibility of deoxidation of the welded sections and further alloying them with other chemical elements. Ceramic fluxes mainly containing feldspar, alumina and marble make it possible to weld copper using alternating current, which simplifies the process.

Welding wire types

  • - Copper, M1, M2 or M3 grades. Wires with a diameter of less than 3 mm are pretreated by drawing, which provides some increase in strength properties;
  • - Bronze wire made of silicon or phosphor bronze. Such wire has increased strength and resilience, but increases the likelihood of welding cracks, so it is not used when welding thin-walled copper parts;
  • - Non-melting, made from tungsten. It is used in welding thick-walled products under a layer of flux, eliminates the oxidation of the weld, and is used for critical products.

Semi-automatic copper welding modes

Surface of welded parts is cleaned before semi-automatic welding. The joints are preliminarily separated (it is obligatory when welding copper articles with thickness of 4...5 mm). The gap should be not less than 1,2 ... 1,5 mm taking into account the considerable thermal expansion of copper during welding. A layer of flux or graphite pad under it excludes heat losses at welding. Before welding the products are heated to temperatures not lower than 250 ... 300 ° C.
