Standards, for spring steel

GOST 14959-89 is a basic home standard, according to the technical requirements of which the production of these steels is carried out. It specifies peculiarities of chemical composition of steels, complex of their physical and mechanical properties and assortment of rolled products. In particular all spring steels are distinguished by a higher percentage of carbon (from 0.5 to 0.84%), silicon (1.5...2.0%) and manganese. Heat treatment
