Technical requirements

Precision alloy wire must comply with the requirements of this standard, produced in accordance with the technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner. Chemical composition of the alloys shall comply with GOST 10994. The wire with diameter up to 6,0 mm is produced in semi annealed, annealed and high annealed condition, and wire with diameter more than 6 mm is produced in semi annealed condition.

Wire surface

The surface should be smooth, even, without films, cracks, scratches and scale. Risks, scratches and dents to a depth not exceeding half of the limit of deviation in diameter are allowed. At the request of the customer the surface characteristics of the wire are verified by the agreed standards with the indication of the type and number of defects per surface unit. It is allowed to deburr the defects of the wire, but the depth of deburring shall not lead the wire beyond the minimum cross-section.
