Plastic deformation of aluminum and its alloys
Depending on the chemical composition of the materials in question and the type of assortment used:
- Cold or hot rolling. Cold rolling is used in obtaining profiles from a material of high ductility, such as aluminum AD00 or AMg1. Hot rolling is used to produce sections of aluminium from AK1 to AK7 and duralumin;
- Multiple or single drawing using drawing mills: This type of treatment is used to produce aluminum wire;

Forging Aluminum Alloys
Forging is carried out at temperatures of 400-450 degrees Celsius. If cast aluminium billets, which have a coarser grain structure, are subjected to treatment, then multiple forging with reduced reduction of pressure is used to rule out the possibility of cracking.
Die forging of aluminum alloys
Rolled billets of alloys with the following mechanical characteristics are used for hot forging:
- Tensile strength, MPa - 300...380;
- Coefficient of relative elongation, % - 13...5.
For cold pressing we use aluminum of high purity: annealed, semi annealed and annealed.

Accordingly, both forming and separating operations can be performed with aluminum of the first two groups. In this case the limiting degree of deformation is 85...90%. Naked aluminum alloys (in particular duralumin D16 and D16T) in the initial state can be stamped only by punching, punching as well as uncomplicated forming and bending.
