Description
Steel 15KHM used: for the manufacture of bushings for tracks of tractors; various parts operating at temperatures from -40 °C to +560 °C under pressure; pipelines with quenching in water or air and release air; a tube blank intended for the production of seamless cold, warm, hot-wrought, including hot-pressed and hot-pressed reduced pipes for steam boilers and pipelines, installations with high and supercritical steam parameters.

According to GOST 4543-71 the content in high-quality steel is regulated: P ≤ 0.025%; S ≤ 0.025%; Cu ≤ 0.30%; in high-grade steel: P ≤ 0.025%; S ≤ 0.015%; Cu ≤ 0.25%.
According to TU 14-1-1529-2003 and TU 14-3-460-2003 for steel produced by scrap process or from cuprous ores, the mass fraction of residual copper and nickel is allowed up to 0.30% of each. A technological addition of rare earth elements is allowed to improve the quality of the metal. Deviation by the mass fraction of carbon is allowed - minus 0.020%.
According to TU 14-3P-55-2001 for steel made by scrap-process or from cuprous ores, the content of copper and nickel is allowed to not exceed 0.30% of each. The presence of rare-earth elements introduced as technological additives is allowed.
