Composition

Steel sheet alloy 20X23H18 (AISI 310s) is made of austenitic class alloy, resistant to soil and atmospheric moisture, aggressive industrial gases. According to GOST 5632-72 the main alloying element 20X23H18 is chromium in the amount of 22-25%. With increasing its share increases corrosion resistance. 17% Cr makes the steel resistant in aggressive oxidizing environments. 12-15% Ni in the composition gives the necessary ductility and increases the heat and corrosion resistance. In addition, alloy 20X23H18 is alloyed with 2% Mn, 1% Si, 0.2% C, thousandths of a percent phosphorus and sulfur.

Production

Thin- and thick-sheet semi-finished products 20X23H18 are rolled by cold or hot rolling according to the following GOST: 7350-77, 19 903-74, 19 904-74. The surface may be rough, uniform matte or decorative (etched). The sheet, on which the traces of grinding are visible, can serve as a blank for cold rolling.

Hangers, bandages, clamps, parts fixing boilers, combustion chambers, muffles for work at t° 1100 °C. 20X23H18 sheet is used in the automotive and chemical industries. In the food industry such sheets are used for the production of heat-resistant cookware, cutlery. These sheets meet the strictest sanitary and hygienic standards. Together with wood and stone, steel sheet is used for high-tech interiors. The surface of the sheet can be polished, matte, mirror, frosted mirror, decorative. Different textures give unusual external effects. The color variants of sheets painted by oxidation, the color does not change over time.
