Composition

Stainless steel round, bar 20X23H18 (AISI 310s) are made from austenitic grade alloy, its main alloying element in accordance with GOST 5632-72 is chromium, contained in an amount of 22-25%. The greater its proportion in the composition, the higher the corrosion resistance. If chromium is more than 17%, the steel becomes resistant in aggressive oxidizing environments. The 12-15% of Ni in the composition gives the necessary ductility and increases corrosion resistance and heat resistance. In addition, the alloy is alloyed with 2% manganese, 1% silicon, 0.2% carbon, thousandths of a percent phosphorus and sulfur.

Production

Calibrated steel rod 20X23H18 is produced according to the following GOST: 7417-75, 8559-75, 8560-78. Grinded rod and silver - GOST: 14 955-77. Forged and forged blanks 20X23H18 - GOST: 1133-71. For the production of 20X23H18 bar use the methods of hot and cold rolling. The temperature of forging bars - 1170 ° C at the beginning of the process and 850 ° C at the end.
