Wire composition and qualities
10X17H13M2T (AISI 316Ti) stainless steel wire has: 0.10% carbon, about 17−20% Cr, 13% Ni, 2% Mo, up to 1% Ti. The remainder is iron. The more chromium in the alloy, the higher the corrosion resistance. At 17%, Cr and above, the wire becomes resistant to aggressive oxidizing environments. Nickel not only increases corrosion resistance, but also gives plasticity and tensile strength. And without molybdenum and titanium, the wire would not be as heat-resistant. Such qualities as wear resistance, strength, corrosion resistance, aesthetic attractiveness have made it very popular in the market of rolled metal products.
