Production
Wire blanks are produced by powder metallurgy. First, a stack is obtained, after which it is heated, forged on a special rotary forging machine and rods with a diameter of 2-3 mm are obtained. subsequently, the rods are drawn into a thin yarn with a diameter of a few microns.
Application of
Grids, filaments, cathode warmers for electron-beam tubes; in thermionic generators and other similar devices are produced in electrical engineering, electronics. These are much more accurate than conventional molybdenum and tungsten thermocouples.
