BP20: tungsten-rhenium spring wire
Want to buy tungsten-rhenium wire BP20: the price from the supplier Electro-V-steel? At us you will find only qualitative production with operative delivery practically all over the world.
Chemical composition and properties
In accordance with Ref. 021.142, the alloy in question contains 79.15% tungsten and from 19.25 to 20.75% rhenium. In a small amount, in order to improve the thermal stability of the finished wire, also high-temperature oxides of potassium, sodium, silicon and aluminum are added to the alloy in an insignificant amount (not more than 0.5%). In this case, the customer can choose the assortment of the material delivery from the next row, mm: 0.10; 0,15; 0.20; 0.35 and 0.5 mm.
The combined effect of rhenium and tungsten provides the BP20 alloy with the following consumer benefits:
High indicators of heat resistance and refractoriness.
Resistance to corrosion (especially high temperature).
Stability to the effects of aggressive gaseous media and carbides.
Stability of thermoelectric characteristics in temperature ranges 0… 25000С.
Of particular importance for the practical application of the BP20 alloy is its extremely high elasticity, which, depending on the temperature, is 36000… 38000 kg / mm2. Thus, the springiness of the wire being drawn causes its durability under external mechanical influences. After the load is removed, the initial configuration and location settings are quickly restored.
Application
The spring tungsten-rhenium wire of BP20 grade is an indispensable material for thermocouples of thermoelectric sensors that operate under unfavorable temperature conditions. At the same time, the deviations of the measured thermoelectric power from the nominal values do not exceed 3… 5% when the external temperature changes in the range from 1400 to 25000С. For graduated thermocouples, the wire can also be supplied in an annealed condition.
Supplier — Electrovek-steel company — guarantees the accuracy of the produced assortment within the limits, mm ± 0,0050… ± 0,0250, which allows to produce from this alloy high-precision thermocouples for controlling the operation of various metallurgical plants.
Wire BP20 can also be used in the manufacture of filament and thermosensor devices in specialized chromatography devices, as well as in low-current electronic systems of television and defense technology.
The products are supplied in coils, and, importantly, at the manufacturer’s price.
