Technical features
Tantalum ingots produced by electron-beam or vacuum-arc melting are the basis for producing various products. The ingot has smooth surface without any inclusions, shells and other similar defects, hardness ≤ 90 kg/mm² and roughness up to 80 microns. Typical parameters (diameter/length): 60-235/250-1500 mm. The ingot is characterized by high corrosion resistance and ductility, as well as good heat transfer and machinability. Transported and stored individually packed.

Tantalum VDP ingot
The ingots shall comply with the requirements of these specifications and documentation set. The ingots are produced in four grades: ELP-1, ELP-2, ELP-3, VDP. The dimensions and tolerances of ingots shall comply with the requirements specified in the table.

ingots are produced with honed surface. Surface roughness parameter (Rz) shall be not more than 80 microns. Centering holes on the ends are not more than 15 mm deep. According to agreement with the customer, ingots with untreated surface or surface melted by electron beam can be delivered.
The surface of the ingots is not allowed:
- slag inclusions;
- sinks and pores over 5 mm deep.
Surface defects can be removed by any method, not exceeding the minus tolerance of the ingot diameter.
