Individual orders
According to individual orders, short brass sheets can also be produced. However, their dimensions in plan should not be smaller than 500x1000 mm. Regardless of the rolling technology, all sheets are produced with minus tolerances (for cold-rolled brass, their values are smaller).
Strip rolled products
Brass strips are produced with normal and high accuracy. The range of strip thickness is 0,040 up to 12 mm with thickness gradation from 0,04 up to 1,50 mm being 0,1 mm, in the range of 1,60...2.20 mm - 0.2 mm, from 2.50 to 7.0 mm - 0.5 mm, and then every millimeter thereafter. The width of the brass band is selected from a range of 40,50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 150 and then every 50 mm - up to and including 600 mm. The length of the bars measured length - from 500 to 2000 mm.
Mechanical properties
There are three types of cold rolled brass - soft, semi-solid and hard. In the first case, the mechanical characteristics are in the following range:
- Tensile strength, MPa - 230...470;
- Tensile strain, % - 40 ... 25;
- Brinell hardness, HB - 60...90.
In the second case the specified characteristics are 260...590 MPa, 25...15% and 85...120 NV, and in the third case - 350...600 MPa, 12...8% and 110...155
Quality Control
Brass sheets, strips and bands are inspected for sickliness, shear slant, allowable deflection, as well as the actual value of bending resistance before shipment to the consumer.
