Brass foil
The standard stipulates the limit deviations on the thickness of the above assortment of brass sheet products. For individual items they are:

Note: The tolerance increases as the thickness increases.

The width of the brass foil and strip is taken in the range from 10 to 1000 mm. Brass plate sizes are from 150x600 to 2500x4000 mm (only deviations "in plus" are allowed). Composition of rolled brass sheet
The standard provides for manufacture of brass band from the following grades: L90, L85, L80, L70, L68, L63, LS59-1, LO90-1, LO62-1, LMts58-2, LZMts59-1-1-1. By special order brass bands are also made of other grades listed in
Mechanical and performance characteristics
- Tensile strength, MPa is 250...260 (soft brass), 600...640 (hard brass);
- Relative elongation, % - 30...35% (soft brass), 5...10% - (hard brass);;
- Brinell hardness, NV - 65 ... 80 (soft brass), 180 ... 200 - (hard brass).
Delivery
State of delivery - soft, semi-soft, hard, especially hard (the latter applies only to the brass foil). The surface may show discoloration, local discoloration, as well as traces of technological grease. Sales of products with uncut edges are allowed;
