Variety of brazing alloys

Hard solders melt at temperatures that exceed 200...250°C. They are divided into two groups - copper-zinc, and silver. The supplier Evek GmbH offers to buy solder at an affordable price in a wide range. We provide delivery of products anywhere in the continent. The price is optimal.

Copper-zinc solder

Performance properties are determined by the percentage of copper and zinc. As the percentage of copper in the solder increases, the melting temperature increases. Correspondingly, as the percentage of zinc in the alloy increases, its melting point decreases. Iron and lead in an amount not exceeding 1.5% are used as additives. Lead increases the melting point of the solder and changes its color: the alloy becomes lighter.

Production of

Copper-zinc solder is produced in accordance with technical specifications of GOST 1534-42. The following grades are mainly used: PMTs-36, PMTs-48 and PMTs-54 (Marking identification: P - solder, M - copper, Z - zinc, the number after the combination of letters - the percentage of copper in the solder). Alloys series PMTs are used to a limited extent. The reason is that during solidification of the composition there is evaporation of zinc, which is accompanied by intense pore formation. It worsens the quality of the soldered seam.

Supply

Delivery condition of copper solders - wire, or tape, copper-zinc - grains ranging in size from 0,2 to 5 mm. According to this parameter the solders are divided into two classes: class A contains grains of cross-sectional dimensions up to 3 mm, class B contains grains of dimensions 3...5 mm.

Silver based solders

They differ in that they contain silver instead of lead. It adversely affects the cost of alloys, but provides a satisfactory performance of soldered joints with such an alloy at much higher temperatures. The melting point of such an alloy increases as the percentage of silver in the alloy increases. The joint is strong and not prone to corrosion. Silver solder is also used when you want to provide a lighter color solder joints.

Production

Silver brazing alloys are produced in accordance with GOST 8190-56 specifications. Generally the following grades are used: PSr2 to PSr72 (letters Cp in the name indicate the presence of silver and the number at the end of the designation indicates the percentage of silver in the alloy). The chemical composition of silver-containing brazing alloys may also include cadmium (K) and phosphorus (F). Such solders melt at temperatures of 270 ... 850 ° C, the state of delivery - strips, bars and wire.
