Raw materials
Our starting material is aluminum billets melted in electric furnaces. Using conveyors, they are fed into the piercing stands of plate rolling mills, where they are crimped to the desired thickness in a series of passes.
Aluminium plate production
Aluminum is a metal of high ductility, a little worse than this indicator for some duraluminous alloys, as well as alloys such as AK and B93, B95. Taking this into account, rolling is practically always carried out in a cold condition (except for the alloys listed above, which are rolled at temperatures of 250-450°C). Before rolling the ingots are heated in special electric furnaces to the required temperature.
Trimming and straightening
After rolling, the semi-finished goods are subjected to trimming and flattening on sheet rolls. Straightening removes excessive surface curvature, waviness and some other cold rolling defects. Finished sheets are subjected to heat treatment, cleaning and surface coating (often used anodizing).
