3. In standards and specifications for specific types of wire nominal diameters are set depending on the required accuracy by rounding to the first or second decimal of the numerical values of Table 1.

(Amendment 6 1983, revised edition. Revision № 1).

4. On customer's request it is allowed in standards and technical specifications for wire, designed for rolling and threading, cold heading and other purposes, to set nominal diameters, not specified in Table 1.

(As amended. Revision. No.1).

5. Limit deviations of nominal wire diameters, depending on the tolerance field and precision manufacturing should comply with Tables 2 and 3.

(Modified edition. Revision No. 1).

6. In standards and technical specifications for specific types of wire it is allowed to round off the value of limit deviations to hundredths of millimeter.

(As amended. Revision No. 1).

7. 7. Ovality of wire should not exceed half of the tolerance field of the wire diameter. The standards and specifications for general-purpose wire may have increased ovality, provided that it does not take the wire beyond the diameter tolerance field.

8. 8. The limit deviations in standards and specifications for specific types of wire may be specified by numerical values in Tables 2 and 3 and by a designation, which includes a tolerance field(h or js) and a grade.

(Amendment 6 1983, Revised edition. Revision No. 1).

Minus limit deviations are designated h3, h4,... ., hl2, double-sided js5, js6, ..., jsl2.
