Scope

This ASTM B167 specification specifies finished products made from alloys: nickel-chrome-iron (UNS N06600, N06601, N06603, N06690, N06693, N06025, N06045 and N06696)b, nickel-chrome-cobalt-molybdenum (UNS N06617) and nickel-iron-chrome-tungsten (UNS N06674). The finished products are seamless tubes and pipes subjected to hot and cold deformation, annealing, hardening, and are designed for use in applications with high demands on corrosion resistance and heat resistance.

Chemical composition

Materials must meet the required chemical composition of nickel, chromium, iron, manganese, molybdenum, cobalt, aluminum, carbon, copper, boron, silicon, sulfur, titanium, niobium, phosphorus, zirconium, yttrium and cerium.

Testing

Alloys shall be subjected to tests - chemical analysis, tensile tests, and hydrostatic or non-destructive electrical tests. The alloys must meet the required mechanical properties - tensile strength, yield strength, and relative elongation.

Standardization

The values specified by Astm B167 in units of inch-pound shall be considered the standard. Metric values, are mathematical conversions to SI units, which are provided for information only and are not considered standard.
