Testing
The alloy shall be subjected to tests - tensile, and hydrostatic or non-destructive electrical test. The material must meet the required mechanical properties - tensile strength, yield strength, and relative elongation.
Standardization
The values specified by ASTM/ASME SB 425 in units of inch-pound shall be considered the standard. Metric values, are mathematical conversions to SI units, which are provided for information only and are not considered standard.
Safety Measures.
ASTM/ASME Standard SB 425 does not regulate safety measures concerning the operation of finished products. This is defined in the appropriate Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for the product/material.
