Relevance
Stainless foil is used to insulate parts and workpieces from all kinds of corrosion, as well as when the temperature rises during technological processes. Thin foil samples are in great demand today because they are very convenient for practical use and processing. It can be easily cut with metal scissors, but because its edges are very sharp, it is desirable to use special tools and gloves.
Features of use
During processing, some parts are subjected to oxidation and decarburization, thereby losing strength. To prevent these processes, the materials are wrapped in stainless steel foil. During temperature increases, oxygen only reacts with the surface of the foil, thereby minimizing the oxidation of the part. Under such protection, the workpiece is sent to the furnace. The foil is very thin and does not interfere with the heat treatment. Before removing the foil, the part is hardened in a special environment. After tempering, the foil is removed.
