Description

Typical applications: S375 is used for hot-rolled structural sections, sheet, wide flat products and roll-formed profiles for welded or mechanically connected steel structures.

S375 purchasing requirements should identify GOST 27772-88 or another governing specification, product thickness, delivery condition, toughness requirement and inspection documentation. Mechanical properties shown on this page vary with section and thickness.

U.S. sourcing overview

S375 is a structural-steel designation encountered in regional engineering and purchasing documents. The grade name alone is not a complete U.S. purchase specification. Include the governing standard, required product form, condition and mechanical-property requirements with the enquiry.

Product forms and sourcing

Supply can be reviewed for sheet, plate, angle, channel, beam, flat and formed structural profiles, depending on standard, dimensions and quantity. State thickness, width, length, section size, condition, tolerances, surface requirements and whether cutting, drilling, priming or other preparation is required.

Evek LLC reviews each requirement against the requested grade, specification, form, dimensions and quantity. Availability, origin, production route, minimum quantity and certification are confirmed during quotation; website text is not a stock or compliance guarantee.

Specification and substitution

Do not select a U.S. or European substitute from yield strength or a short cross-reference alone. Chemistry, toughness, weldability, thickness limits, test temperature, dimensional tolerances and inspection rules can differ. Any alternative requires purchaser or engineering approval.

The purchaser remains responsible for material selection, design approval and confirmation that the specified material is suitable for the finished component, manufacturing process and service environment.

Information required for a quote

Provide S375, the governing standard and revision, product form or profile, dimensions, condition, quantity, tolerances, impact or mechanical testing, material test report, marking, permitted alternatives and U.S. delivery ZIP code.

According to GOST 27772-88 for steel smelted in electric furnaces, the content of N ≤ 0.012% is allowed. When smelting steel from the Kerch ore, the mass fraction of arsenic does not exceed 0.15%, while the mass fraction of phosphorus should not be more than 0.030%. At the request of the consumer in steel, the mass fraction of phosphorus should not be more than 0.030%, and sulfur - not more than 0.035%.
