KhN58KTVYuMBL (ChS104) Nickel Casting Alloy
Designation
Description
Material overview
KhN58KTVYuMBL (ChS104) is a nickel-base high-temperature casting-alloy designation encountered in specifications for power and marine equipment. The designation alone is insufficient for a purchase. The governing standard, melting and casting route, section size, heat treatment, service temperature and inspection requirements must be defined.
Product forms and sourcing
Supply can be reviewed for remelt stock, rough castings, heat-treated castings, proof-machined parts and finished components, depending on the drawing and qualified production route. Include rough and finished weights, machining allowance, critical surfaces, casting tolerances, weld-repair restrictions, tooling responsibility and release quantity.
Evek LLC reviews each requirement against the requested grade, specification, form, dimensions and quantity. Availability, origin, mill route, minimum quantity and certification are confirmed during quotation; website text is not a stock or compliance guarantee.
Specification and substitution
Do not treat a commercial nickel superalloy with a similar temperature rating as an automatic equivalent. Chemistry, melting practice, castability, phase balance, heat treatment, mechanical properties and acceptance criteria may differ. Any substitution requires technical review and written purchaser or engineering approval.
The purchaser remains responsible for material selection, design approval and confirmation that the specified material is suitable for the finished component, manufacturing process and service environment.
Information required for a quote

Chemical composition
According to TU 14-1-4787-90 the chemical composition is given for the alloy of grade ХН58КТЮЮМБЛ-ВИ (ЧС104-ВИ). Boron, zirconium, yttrium and lanthanum are introduced by calculation, chemical analysis is not determined, but the calculated data are entered in the certificate. It is possible to estimate the mass fraction of arsenic in scores on the scale of spectral analysis. In this case, the mass fraction of arsenic should not be more than 1 point.
