Production

Heat-resistant alloy KhN45Yu is melted in open electric furnaces. Production of CrN45U wire, rounds, bars are regulated by GOST 5632-72, TU 14-1-2396-78, 14-1-2075-87, 14-1-941-74, 14-1-4082-86. The amount of nickel in the alloy is 44-46%, iron 30.825 - 38.01%, chromium 15 - 17%. The additives used are: 2.9-3.9% Al, sulfur and silicon (less than 1% of each substance), up to 0.02% Mn, up to 0.025% P, no more than 0.03% Se, up to 0.1% Ba.

Processing

The products are forged in the heat range 1180 - 850 °C. Recommended temperature of hardening in water or air is up to 1200 °C. The rod is hardened at 1050-1150 °C in air. The alloy is easy to weld and welding can be done by any method. The electrodes used for manual electric arc welding are OZL-35, OZL-25.

Application

CrN45U wire, rod is used for the manufacture of furnace conveyor grids, rollers in slotted furnaces for high-speed firing of ceramic tiles, household flat ceramics and some other ceramic products. They can also be found in the manufacture of burner parts. Heat resistance allows the parts to work for a long time at temperatures up to 1300 °C. The circle is used as blanks for the manufacture of angles, beams, profiles for special purposes, which are used in industrial construction.
