Composition

Circle, wire and bars of martensitic class steel 30X13 have mainly iron and chromium in their composition. According to GOST 5632-72, the alloy has 12-14% Cr, 0.26-0.35% carbon. The composition is alloyed with silicon and manganese 0.8% each, nickel up to 0.6%, copper 0.3%, titanium 0.2%, thousandths of phosphorus. The remainder is iron. Substitute: 40X13.

Quality

The steel is corrosion-resistant and heat-resistant. Circle, wire and bars of alloy 30X13 are resistant to soil and atmospheric moisture, as well as in mildly aggressive environments, have high tensile strength and simultaneously ductile. They are not subject to deformation under load at t° up to 450 °C.

_σB - short-term strength limit;

_σT - yield strength for permanent deformation;

_d5 - elongation at break.

Production

The hot pressure treatment temperature is 1180 °C at the beginning and 900 °C at the end of the process. Cooling is done in air. The wire and rod have both round and square cross sections.

Application

Measuring and cutting tools, piston compressor rods, carburetor needles, springs, wear parts in mildly aggressive environments up to 450 °C. Circle and wire makes parts and tools for shipbuilding, textile, medical, petroleum, pulp and paper, chemical, machine building industries.
