Relevance

Tape, foil and sheet of martensitic class steel 30X13 have mainly iron and chromium in their composition. According to GOST 5632-72, the alloy has 12-14% Cr and 0.26-0.35% carbon. The composition is alloyed with silicon and manganese 0.8% each, nickel up to 0.6%, copper 0.3%, titanium 0.2%, thousandths of phosphorus. The remainder is iron. Substitute: 40X13. Steel 30X13 is corrosion-resistant and heat-resistant. Tape, foil and sheet of this alloy, resistant to soil and atmospheric moisture, as well as in slightly aggressive environments, have a high tensile strength and simultaneously plastic. Tape and sheet resist loads at t° up to 450 °C.

Production

Sheet, strip, foil can be produced by hot and cold rolling. Thicknesses of 1.5-3.9 mm are achieved by hot rolling, 0.7 mm and less by cold rolling. The hot work temperature is 1180 °C at the beginning and 900 °C at the end of the process. Cooling is done in air. The method of finishing the edge of the sheet is determined by the cut edge of the sheet. Rolling can be carried out with increased and normal accuracy.

Application

Measuring and cutting tools, parts of piston compressors, parts, working on the wear in mildly aggressive environments at t° up to 450 °C. Tape, foil and sheet are used to produce parts and tools for the textile, medical, oil, pulp and paper, chemical, machine-building and shipbuilding industries.
