General characteristics

Titanium alloy VT1-0 contains 99.5% of chemically pure titanium. Sheet, strip and foil made of it are characterized by corrosion and chemical resistance, heat resistance, insignificant thermal expansion coefficient, low density (4.505 g/cm3), high ductility. They are biologically inert, resistant to prolonged exposure to moisture, chlorinated or sea water, and can withstand enormous pressure.

The annealing temperature for sheet and strip is 520 - 570 °C. The incomplete annealing temperature is 475 - 485 °C.

Disadvantages

Labor and energy intensive production of pure titanium affects its cost. In addition, the high plasticity is possible only by reducing the strength properties - semi-finished products from BT1-0 are not as strong as from other titanium alloys.

Use
