Tungsten crucibles are used where the selected process benefits from tungsten’s high melting point and low vapor pressure, but a crucible must be matched to the temperature, atmosphere and contained material. Chemical compatibility and thermal-cycle suitability are application-specific and require purchaser review.
Dimensions and manufacturing details
Provide inside and outside diameter, height, wall and base thickness, bottom geometry, corner radii, surface finish and tolerances. State whether a machined, pressed-and-sintered or other production route is required. Include a drawing for custom geometry and identify any lid, hole, flange or fixture features.
