Production

Processing

Tungsten sheets can be joined by spot or butt welding. However, the joint is usually brittle. A riveted joint is more reliable. Such tungsten is easily soldered to nickel, copper, or silver under the protection of an inert atmosphere. Tungsten is welded to nickel by the resistance method to make parts for electronic tubes.
