Technical characteristics

Powder heavy tungsten-iron-nickel alloy in addition to 95% of tungsten (basis) contains nickel and iron, has a high specific weight of 18 g/cm3. The alloy has satisfactory processability, but it is poorly milled, has a high degree of ionizing radiation absorption, increased heat resistance, heat resistance, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, resistance to high loads, excellent thermal conductivity.

Application

Manufacture of complex shaped blanks with curved surfaces: parts of cylinders, bushings, gyroscope rotors, inertial masses, erosion-resistant electrodes, funnels for shaped charges, biological protection from penetrating radiation.

U.S. sourcing overview

VNZh-95 is a regional designation for a high-density tungsten-nickel-iron alloy family. A purchasing request must identify the governing specification and required properties because density, composition, processing route and acceptance criteria are not defined by a translated grade name alone.

Product forms and sourcing

Supply can be reviewed for sheet, plate, bar, rod, blocks, rough blanks and machined parts, depending on size, drawing and quantity. Include finished and rough dimensions, machining allowance, tolerances, surface finish, critical features and any material-origin restrictions.

Evek LLC reviews each requirement against the requested grade, specification, form, dimensions and quantity. Availability, origin, production route, minimum quantity and certification are confirmed during quotation; website text is not a stock or compliance guarantee.

Specification and substitution

Heavy tungsten alloys with similar nominal tungsten content may differ in binder composition, density, strength, ductility, magnetic response and processing route. Any substitute must be evaluated against the component drawing, service conditions and required inspection.

The purchaser remains responsible for material selection, design approval and confirmation that the specified material is suitable for the finished component, manufacturing process and service environment.
