Production

Titanium plate is a solid profile of rectangular cross-section, it is produced from titanium BT1-0 and titanium alloys PT3 B, OT-4, OT4-1, BT-6, BT-14, BT-20 in accordance with the requirements of GOST 23 755-79. Chemical composition is normalized GOST 19 807-74. Sampling for chemical composition - according to GOST 24 231-80. PT3 B slab is produced annealed, VT1-0, VT14 and OT4 - hot-rolled without heat treatment. Surface finish can be without etching or with etching. The surface shall be free of tears, cracks, rolls, scale marks, delaminations, non-metallic and metallic inclusions visible to naked eye.

Marking

The first letters of the name of the domestic alloys indicate the developer's company. The V.T. stands for "VIAM" - titanium. OT - Experimental Titanium, developed jointly by VIAM and Verkhnaya Salda Metallurgical Production Association - VSMPO. PT - Prometey-Titanium from Prometey production association. Plates with enhanced finish are designated with P, with high finish - with B. with ordinary finish; there are no additional designations

Advantages

Disadvantages
