Technical characteristic

Tape 0,5-1,6 mm thick of copper-nickel alloy containing 4-6% nickel and welding rod or welding wire of copper alloy are used as filler metal, including for welding of root seams. The strip is pre-welded to the surface of the steel part in the welding area. Before welding the filler strip a layer of flux paste is applied to the surface of the nickel parts. Welding is carried out with a fusible or non-fusible electrode. During welding a layer of molten copper alloy is created between the arc and the surface of the steel part to prevent significant melting of the steel and transition of large amounts of iron into the weld metal. The method provides an opportunity to obtain all types of welded joints, as well as the elimination of fusion and defects in the seam.
