Production

Production of copper sheet M1 (high purity) is regulated by the requirements of GOST 495-92, and the chemical composition - GOST 859-2001. Copper M1 contains 99,9% Cu; 0,002% Ni; 0,05% O2; 0,02% arsenic, tin, antimony; 0,004 sulfur, zinc; 0,001% Bi. Preparation and sampling to monitor the chemical composition of the standard GOST 24 231-80. Nickel, antimony tin forms solid solutions with copper, significantly reduces the thermal and electrical conductivity of the alloy. Antimony makes it difficult to hot work with pressure. Bismuth is practically insoluble in copper, does not affect the electrical conductivity, but it makes pressure treatment difficult. Oxygen in copper reduces its strength and electrical conductivity. Sulfur facilitates the machining of copper by cutting. Depending on how M1 copper is produced, the following grades are distinguished: M1k - cathode, M1b - oxygen-free, M1r - oxygen-oxygenated, and M1f - phosphorus. M1M - soft copper, M1T - hard copper.

Basic qualities M1

Melting point 1083 °C, at t° 20 °C the index ðï - for a soft cold-rolled sheet GOST 1173-2006 = 200-260 MPa, and for a hard cold-rolled sheet GOST 1173-2006 = 290 MPa. Index d5 for a soft cold rolled sheet GOST 1173-2006 = 42%, and for hard cold rolled sheet GOST 1173-2006 = 6%. Hardness of soft sheet HB 10 -1 = 55 MPa, and hard sheet HB 10 -1 = 95 MPa.
