Calculation technique of tantalum tube weight
It is known that the density of tantalum is, depending on the chemical purity of the metal, from 16.6 to 16.7 g/cm3, 1″ = 25.399599194324 mm. In order to know the weight, we apply the following formula ρ-π-(R21 - R22)-l, where
- ρ - specific gravity 16.65 g/cm3
- π = 3,1415926
- R1 - outside diameter;
- R2 - inner diameter;
- l - product length.
For a meter-long tube of 0.05 inch thickness and 1 inch diameter, we get the result. 1527.9 grams.
