Technical characteristics

Stainless steel is a versatile material consisting of a sheet that is obtained by the pressure and subsequent movement of rolling rolls. It is an indispensable component of stainless steel production. In production, heat treatment is most often used, which gives the product a number of required characteristics, among which is good resistance to aggressive external environment. A sheet of stainless steel is treated with high temperature, which results in incandescence, after which it is cooled.

Alloying of stainless steel

Chromium increases hardness and corrosion resistance. Nickel makes the alloy ductile; tungsten makes it hard and red-hot. Vanadium and niobium increase strength, impact and abrasion resistance. Molybdenum makes the alloy red-hot and resists oxidation at high temperatures. Manganese content above 1% increases hardness, impact strength and wear resistance. Titanium increases stability, corrosion resistance. Carbon content in the range from 0.04 to 0.08% provides higher strength at elevated temperatures.
