Drawing and pressing
Drawing can be performed in cold or hot condition. Preformed semi-finished product is set in the drawing mill die, where it is gripped and forced through forming rollers. Hot pressing
Hot-pressing of rolled copper provides a much higher quality surface of a circle or bar. The process is carried out on horizontal hydraulic presses by direct extrusion of the input material, which is preheated in a furnace to temperatures of 450...5000 C. The method is suitable for the production of copper billets with a diameter of 10 to 160 mm, has a higher quality of surface, but also much higher technological efforts.
