Scope of GOST 15835-70

This standard applies to round, square, hexagonal drawn rods and round pressed bars of beryllium bronze used in instrumentation and mechanical engineering.

Technical requirements

B bars are made according to the requirements of this standard according to the technological procedure, approved in the prescribed manner. BrB2 bars are made with chemical composition according to GOST 18175.

Quality requirements

The surface of bars must be clean and have no film, cavities, cracks, bubbles, dents, burrs and scratches. Local surface defects are allowed that do not lead out of the bars during control stripping beyond the diameter limit deviations.
Traces of technological grease, as well as tarnishing colors, local reddening and darkening are allowed. The bars in the fracture shall have no extraneous inclusions, delaminations and voids.
In bars with diameter of 70 mm or more, fine pinholes are allowed. At the request of the customer, the quality of the break shall be established by samples approved in the prescribed manner.
