Production

Bars and rounds of aluminum alloys can be produced by hot or cold rolling technology. Hot-rolled round is produced from AK type aluminum alloys, as well as duralumin, which is not well deformable in the cold state. Quality

The final product of the rolled aluminum volume production are ingots with diameters of 100...300 mm and lengths up to 1200 mm. When rolling, the semi-finished products are not allowed to have any surface defects, such as porosity, sinks, foreign inclusions (except for admixtures that are allowed by the standard). Duralumin alloys are subject to rolling at the worst rate, since maximum energy is required for their production, while pure aluminium is rolled with minimum energy input. To improve the cross-sectional continuity of bars and wheels of alloys such as B95 or AK, after rolling the bars and wheels are subjected to preliminary forging, which reduces the grain size.
