Production
Production, composition and properties of alloy steels in CIS countries are regulated by
Classification by chemical composition
According to chemical composition and mechanical properties - steel quality, high quality (in the designation of which there is the letter A) and especially high quality steel, which are produced using electroslag remelting technology (Sh);
Alloying
Steel alloying elements - chromium, manganese, chromium-manganese, chromium-silicon, chromium-molybdenum, chromium-molybdenum-vanadium, chromium-vanadium, nickel-molybdenum, chromium-nickel (including boron), chromium-manganese steels.Chromium-molybdenum-vanadium, chromium-manganese-vanadium, chromium-manganese-nickel (including those with boron), chromium-silicon-manganese, chromium-silicon-manganese-nickel, chromium-manganese-nickel (including those withChromium-manganese-nickel (including chromium-manganese-nickel with titanium and boron), chromium-nickel-molybdenum, chromium-nickel-molybdenum-vanadium, chromium-aluminum (including chromium-aluminum with molybdenum), and chromium-manganese-nickel with molybdenum and titanium.
Production technology
GOST 4543-88 implies the following options for producing rolled structural alloy steels:
- hot-rolled and forged (including ground or deburred surface);
- calibrated;
- with special surface finish.
Depending on surface quality and material condition, hot-rolled and forged steel is produced without heat treatment, heat-treated (HT) and hardened (H). The latter is provided only for calibrated metal and for rolled products with a special surface finish.
