GOST 859-2014 establishes the requirements concerning the chemical composition of cathode copper of high purity. The data are given in the table:

The content of bound oxygen in grade M00k is not allowed, and for copper grades M0k and M1k is limited to a limit of 0.015% and 0.020%, respectively. The composition and impurity content of cast and deformed grades M0, M1, M2 and M3 are determined in a similar way. In M00b grade copper, the percentage of bound oxygen in tellurium and selenium is limited. Copper grades M1 and M1p, intended for use in the electrical industry, are indexed by the letter E, which is shown at the end of the basic designation of this metal. In M2 and M3 grades, by agreement with customer representatives, a higher percentage of bound oxygen is allowed. In grades M2 and M3 are not rationed the percentage of silver and zinc.
