Special requirements
In addition to limitations on the chemical composition of aluminum alloys, Gosstandart 4784 defines also:
- Grades of electrolytic aluminum of particularly high purity (the letter E is added to the designation);
- Methods of determining the actual percentage of aluminum in the alloy;
- The separate percentage of titanium used for alloy modification purposes and titanium present in aluminum to improve its mechanical characteristics;
- Allowances for changes in the chemical composition of the alloys, which are permitted by agreement with the consumer.
