GOST 24301-93 concerns round cross-section tubes, which are made of cast bronze alloys of certain grades. It is specified that the recommended dimensions of outer diameter and wall thickness for tubular products should conform to the following values: diameter - from 40 to 200 mm, wall thickness - from 8 to 40 mm. Production

Cast pipes as per GOST 24301-93 in CIS countries are made from the following bronze grades:

  • БрОЦС 5-5-5;
  • BrOCS 3-12-5;
  • BrOCSN 3-7-5-1.

Initial raw materials should have the chemical composition corresponding to GOST 613 standards, should be free of shells and foreign inclusions, cracks and other surface defects deepening more than a half of the set tolerance. Tolerances for ovality of pipe are within the same limits. These tolerances are set for two groups of products. For the first group, tolerances of ovality, depending on the diameter, are from +0.6 and -0.1 to +1.2 and -0.4 mm. For the second group - respectively from +1.0 and -0.9 to ± 2.0 mm.

Tolerances for wall thicknesses are set in a similar way for the first group - from +1.0 and -0.7 to +2.0 and -1.5 mm, for the second group - from ±1.0 to ±2.0 mm.
