Composition and properties
Alloy Incoloy 825® — 2.4858 is a Nickel alloy, which includes iron, chromium, molybdenum, Nickel, manganese and titanium. The percentage of core components by key producing countries is almost the same. The closest domestic analogue of this alloy is the material ХН40МДТЮ produced in accordance with the technical specifications 14−1-4042−85. The main supply of alloy are also companies from the USA, China, UK, Japan and Korea.

The chemical composition of the alloy used under severe operating conditions, which are expressed in an intense wear of the moving parts of the equipment at elevated temperatures and pressures. The Nickel ensures the absence of corrosion destruction of a material, the intensity of which increases in an environment containing chloride ions. In combination with copper and molybdenum Nickel also contributes to improvement of the characteristics of the acid resistance of the products (especially from exposure to sulfuric and phosphoric acids). Molybdenum also increases the resistance against pitting corrosion, chromium against high temperature oxidation. In turn, the Titan gives the product a high mechanical stability at elevated temperatures and restricts the intergranular corrosion.
The stability of the values of the main physico-mechanical properties of the alloy Incoloy 825® — 2.4858 persists to temperatures from -180 -190…0 C to 870…9600 C. This applies to values of specific elongation, thermal conductivity and electrical resistance.
Application
Bulk rolled pipes and hot rolled wire rods of alloy Incoloy 825® — 2.4858 is used for the manufacture of parts such as heat exchangers installations, operating in conditions of sharp temperature change. Pipe rolling of the alloy finds use in units of high temperature cracking of petroleum products, and in pipelines that are intended for pumping of aggressive media.
Although a substantial hardening in the process of pressure treatment does not occur, to facilitate the forming of the rental before treatment is recommended to expose to annealing. The alloy is well processed by cutting and welding of parts made of Incoloy 825® — 2.4858 usually produce a non-consumable electrode in shielding gases.
To buy bulk products from this alloy means to provide high wear resistance of the working parts of equipment operating in unfavorable external conditions. The offered products are certified in accordance with the requirements of ISO 15156.
