Production

Steel strip is produced of deformable brass grades by cold rolling on continuous rolling mills. The most commonly used alloys are L90, L80, L68, L63, and also LS59-1, LO90-1, LMts58-2. The composition is normalized by GOST 15 527. Wrought brass contains in its composition a significant proportion of copper (90%), as a result of which the metal becomes excellent antifriction, corrosion resistance and high ductility. A quality brass strip must have a smooth surface on both sides, must not contain defects, foreign inclusions or cracks. Traces of broaching are allowed. Supplied in pieces of length of 1 - 2 m. According to the state of the alloy, the strip is subdivided into:

- soft;

- semi-hard;

- hard;

- extra hard.

The strip can have increased elasticity, strength, antimagnetic qualities.
