Description
Titanium VT1−00 is used: for the manufacture of semi-finished products (sheets, strips, foils, strips, plates, bars, rods, profiles, tubes, forgings and forged blanks) by the method of deformation, and also ingots; consumable electrode vacuum-arc remelting used as charge in the manufacture of shaped castings; lightly complex parts operating at temperatures from -253 to +150 °C; degassed titanium welding wire diameter 1,0−7,0 mm; superconducting niobium-titanium alloys.
Note
The material of the low strength, and titanium VT1−00, contains less impurities than VT1−0, has a lower strength and greater ductility. The strength properties of titanium can be increased by cold deformation but much reduced plastic properties. Reduced characteristics of plasticity are more pronounced than the increase of the strength characteristics, so that the cold deformation is not the best way to improve the properties of titanium. The disadvantages of titanium include high propensity to hydrogen embrittlement, and therefore the content of hydrogen should not exceed 0.008% in titanium VT1−00.
